In accordance with Section 5 of the Employment Protection Act, every employer in Germany is required to conduct an assessment of dangers of psychological stress in the workplace.

What's the survey's purpose?

Every danger assessment aims to:

  • determine stressors in the job that can negatively employees' health
  • identify possible dangers
  • respond with targeted measures

The objective is work and an environment that strengthen employees' physical and mental health and their welfare. It is important to the RWTH administration to consistently improve its workplaces and working conditions.

For this reason, RWTH Aachen, its staff councils, and the Staff Unit for Occupational Safety have decided to conduct the PsyGesundEUTM online survey in collaboration with the Occupational Health Psychology Teaching and Research Department of Uniklinik RWTH Aachen.

 

Survey Concluded Among Employees in ZHV and Staff Units

The survey conducted among employees in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Georesources and Materials Engineering has closed (having run from November 11 to December 14). Participation were an excellent 40 percent and 52 percent, respectively. Professor Lang will present the results to department and division heads by the end of March, 2019, at the latest.

The survey conducted among employees in the Central University Administration and the staff units was closed in 2018 (having run from May 28 to July 13, 2018). Participation was an excellent 62 percent. Professor Lang has presented the results to department and division heads.

It is the responsibility of managerial staff to then provide feedback on these results to the employees.
