Project partners: Özgür Gürerk, Christian Grund, Christine Harbring, Thomas Kittsteiner, Andreas Staffeldt

Collaboration Partner: Virtual Reality Group of the RWTH Aachen University

Goal: Increasing experimental control and hence external validity by conducting realistic experiments in highly immersive environments, e.g., in the aixCAVE.

Method: We present a novel method for real effort experiments to be conducted in virtual reality. We jointly developed a computer application for the aixCAVE in cooperation with the Virtual Reality Group (Prof. Kuhlen)

Watch a video to see how a subject interacts with the objects on the conveyor belt.

The project was presented first time at the RWTHtransparent in January 2014.

Please read our short paper , which reports the added value of this new experimental method .
